SUMMER PETERSON
Join me as we dive deep into my journey...
I wasn't always overweight. I had been one of the lucky ones, thin throughout my early years. But my mother had always told me that once she hit 30, the weight started piling on and she could never get her old body back.

Shortly after my 30th birthday, several years prior to giving birth to my first son, I found myself 20 pounds heavier. The weight seemed to come out of no where and I was miserable. Soon, 10 more pounds crept up on me. I was 30 pounds heavier than I had ever been and I felt unloveable. Every time I looked in the mirror I felt shame and self-hatred.

My mother's words were becoming my reality.

I desperately tried to lose the weight, but I couldn't. I tried all of the conventional weight loss techniques, focusing on eating less calories and doing tons of exercise. I cut calories and bought an elliptical machine, but the scale only seemed to go up. I added pilates & spin classes and thought I was making good food choices, but little did I know, the food I was eating was literally slowing down my metabolism and forcing my body to store fat.

I dreaded being invited to a wedding, because it meant I would have to wear an unflattering dress. I avoided going anywhere that had a swimming pool.

Buying the bathing suit cover-up became more important than the bathing suit itself.

I wouldn't allow anyone to see my body in a bathing suit. I spent years where I never went into a pool or the ocean. I would just sit close to the water, covering the body that I had become so painfully ashamed of.

I felt like a skinny woman trapped in an overweight body.

I tried like hell to lose the weight for my wedding day, but I wasn’t able to exercise my way into the size wedding dress I wanted. My mother’s words reverberated in my head: you can’t lose
the weight after you turn 30.
Well, I’m here to tell you that my mama was wrong. Not only did I lose those 30 pounds, but I lost those 30 pounds after having gained an additional 50 pounds during my first pregnancy. That’s right, I gained 50 pounds when I was pregnant with my son, Jude, and then turned around and lost 80 pounds. I finally found the secret to weight loss!

But, let me tell you, once I lost all that weight, I got pregnant again. I went back to my old eating habits during the pregnancy and gained 55 pounds this time! Thankfully, I had the tools under my belt and was able to shed all of the baby weight, once again. Since then, I have lost every bit of my baby weight, and then some.
I am proud to be at my ideal, healthy body weight and I’m excited that I was able to do it after the age of 30 AND after having children. I am proud that I effortlessly maintain my weight into my 40’s.
I am so happy to have proved my mother wrong.
Gone are the days of dreading being invited to a wedding. Gone are the days of covering my body at the pool. I now proudly wear a bikini when I take my 2 sons to the swimming pool.
Cutting calories and exercising did not help me lose weight. After several years of failing to lose weight, I was fortunate to have learned from the best doctors that cutting calories and exercising do not lead to weight loss. They taught me that eating certain foods makes it literally impossible to lose weight, no matter how much exercise you do.
What you eat and when you eat it are critical to weight loss.
Once I learned what to eat and when to eat it, my constant sugar & carb cravings vanished. Now that I know what to eat and when to eat it, I easily maintain my ideal body weight and have the energy to keep up with my 3 & 6 year old boys. When I got my master’s degree in psychology, I never dreamed that I would create a weight loss system to help other women. My own struggle to lose weight, however, became my soul calling. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to guide other women through a system that promotes both health and weight loss. I want to share my proven Weight Loss System with the world to inspire others to let their body and soul shine.
